I'm Erica and this is my blog. Welcome! I'm 35, illegally (now LEGALLY! Thanks, California!)wed to Melissa for six years, birth mother of our son Gabriel, age 4, and daughter Noa, age 1. I'm a PhD student in Biblical Studies, trying to nurse a baby, cut the crusts off tuna fish sandwiches, vacuum, blog, write a dissertation, and prepare lesson plans all in the same minute, all the time. It's probably not pretty, it is certainly crazy, but this is my life and I'm taking inspiration in the form of a quote from that Most Holy of Scriptures, the Rocky Horror Picture Show...

Gabriel's newest culinary masterpiece. The recipe is simple, he explains, you need smooth rocks, assorted coins, and (of course) aliens. He cautions that it is hot, and blowing on the spoon (preferably a Spiderman spoon) is recommended. Flavor? "Its good mama, try it! It tastes like chicken." Four years old is just the BEST.
